Quilled Cards

These little quilled camera cards (+) by The Sweet Spot Card Shop are pretty cute. I love quilling, it's so rewarding just rolling up paper and creating little bits of fun!

Something old, turned something new

I've been seeing so many batik style projects around the web lately that on the spur of the moment this morning I decided to give it a try. My (RED) shirt has it's share of paint stains so  I used that as my first test project. It was really easy to do and I think with more planning I would draw something up first and then sit and make things all days with my little Clorox bleach pen! I know you can also use stencils to create lovely stuff.

Make your own!
1. get a bleach pen
2. Draw something on a shirt, tea towel, table cloth, etc.
3. Let sit about 20 min
4. Run under cold water to remove bleach
5. Hang to dry.

Here's some pictures of what I did, the shirt was still wet when I left it so it looks a little darker then when I started.

Just draw right on top of the shirt. I put a magazine between the front and back

Quirky Little Animals

Recent graduate Ashly Percival from the United Kingdom sent me a link to some of her work. I love the little animals she musters up. The colors and doodle patterns are fun and whimsical.  Inspired by nature Ashley creates delightful prints that will surely bring a smile to your face. Perfect for a kids room or maybe above my desk in the studio! I like all the owls :) Check out her shop!

Lovely crochet toys

These are such sweet toys by Anne-Claire Petit .  I first saw this old school record player and then discovered so much more.

Anne-Claire begun a career in industrial design and later was a designer for Esprit. She soon began her own label starting off with a shawl collection and then switched to toys. I'm so glad she did because her toys are so colorful and fun and you don't have to be a kid to enjoy them...well I'm a big kid so maybe a little!
tea time!

I heart these so.

LOVE!
